Back in Cascade, Ellison foils a burglary but accidentally shoots a security guard. Luckily, the guard is OK, but Ellison's dismay causes his Sentinel powers to disappear.

When a car comes barreling into the Cascade Police Station in the middle of the night, the Sentinel team finds themselves abruptly thrown into a murder investigation. Initially, their only witnesses are shaken-up but, when an alligator gets loose in the station, everyone goes crazy.

With Ellison having strange visions of jaguars and a series of superhumanly performed thefts occurring around the city, Blair and Jim suspect that he may not be the only sentinel in town.
